How your information is handled when you use this website.
This website belongs to Grace Whyte, a sole trader providing vocal and acting coaching in the United Kingdom. Grace is the data controller for any personal information you send through this site. For any question about your data, or to make any of the requests described below, email gracewhytecoaching@gmail.com.
This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no advertising technology, no social media pixels and no profiling of any kind. Nothing is stored on your device and your browsing of this site is not tracked or logged for marketing.
If you fill in the enquiry form, the information you type is collected — your name, your email address, the lesson type you select, and whatever you write in the message box. Please only include what you're comfortable sharing; the message box is not the place for sensitive personal information such as health or medical details.
Why: solely to read your enquiry and reply to it. The lawful basis is legitimate interest — you have asked to be contacted about lessons, and replying is the obvious expected outcome.
You will not be added to any mailing list. Your details are not used for marketing, not sold, and not shared with anyone for their own purposes.
Two service providers handle your enquiry on Grace's behalf, as data processors:
Nothing else on this site loads from anywhere else, so no other company sees your visit.
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch — normally no more than 24 months, after which they are deleted from both the website's submission records and the email inbox. If you become a student, lesson correspondence is kept for as long as you are taught, and afterwards as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask for a copy of the information held about you, to have it corrected if it is wrong, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how it is used, and to have it transferred to you. There is no charge, and requests are answered within one month. Email gracewhytecoaching@gmail.com.
If you are unhappy with how your data has been handled you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though please do get in touch first so there's a chance to put things right.
If this notice changes, the revised version will be posted here.
